Chardonnay Hill of Good Health 2020

A Chardonnay from the limestone hills of Central Hawke's Bay, the grapes were sourced from our good friends Max and Kate at Pukeora Estate (Hill of Good Health) and picked by the two families and staff during Covid 19 lockdown. They yielded just two barrels of wine (barriques) resulting in just 36 dozen (72 six packs)- a rare wine. This, our first Chardonnay, was fermented in aged white barrels (2), with lees stirring.  Elegant, mouth filling, textual, complex, aromas of peach stone fruits, smokey cashew nut with integrated aged oak, mineral, a slight saline note with hints of oyster from the 3 million year old seabed.
